This Privacy Policy describes how APERO TECHNOLOGIES GROUP PTE. LTD. ("we," "us," "our") processes information when you use Linget — AI Photo Vocabulary (the "App") and related services. Linget is a privacy-first language-learning app that helps you build vocabulary by capturing real-world objects with your camera, recognizing them on-device, translating the word, and saving it as a sticker in your personal collection.
We are committed to protecting user privacy. Linget does not require account registration and does not operate proprietary servers for storing your captured images or personal vocabulary content. However, the App does use limited third-party services for analytics, attribution, subscription management, and anti-abuse purposes, as described in this Policy.
By using Linget, you agree to the processing of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information You Provide
Linget does not require users to create an account, register, or provide personal information such as name, email address, phone number, home address, contact lists, calendar information, SMS history, or precise location.
Information Collected Automatically Through the App and Third-Party SDKs
When you use the App, certain technical and usage information is automatically collected and processed by third-party SDKs integrated into the App for analytics, attribution, subscription management, and anti-abuse purposes. This information may include:
Device identifiers (such as Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) where you have granted App Tracking Transparency permission, Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), or other pseudonymous identifiers)
Device model, operating system version (iOS 18+), screen resolution, device language
App version, app launches, in-app events, and usage patterns
Crash reports, performance metrics, and diagnostic data
Network connection type and Wi-Fi connection details
Notification settings and preferences
Attribution data (such as the source of app installation, ad campaign data)
Subscription and purchase status (in-app purchase transaction identifiers)
Cookies and similar technologies where applicable
Content You Create Locally
Sticker collections, captured image thumbnails, learning progress, mastery levels, streaks, and review schedules are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, this content may be stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy terms.
Linget may request access to your device camera so you can capture real-world objects for vocabulary recognition and language learning.
The camera permission is used only when you choose to capture an image inside the App.
Purpose: Camera access lets Linget capture real-world objects so the App can identify the object, translate the corresponding word, and save it as a vocabulary sticker.
Data Use: Images captured through the camera are used only for immediate on-device object recognition and to generate a sticker thumbnail you can review and confirm.
Storage: Captured images are not saved to your photo library by Linget and are not uploaded to any proprietary Linget server. A processed sticker thumbnail (with background removed) may be stored locally on your device as part of your personal collection.
Service Provider: Apple ARKit
Purpose: AR Live mode uses ARKit to overlay vocabulary stickers on real-world objects in real time, helping you practice in context.
Data Flow: ARKit processing is performed entirely on your device. No camera frames, AR anchors, or scene data are transmitted to Linget servers.
Data Retention: Linget does not store ARKit camera frames or world-tracking data. Processing is temporary, local, and limited to the active AR session.
Service Provider: Apple Vision and Core ML frameworks
Purpose: To classify objects in captured images and suggest matching vocabulary words.
Data Flow: Object recognition is performed entirely on your device using Apple Vision and Core ML. Captured frames do not leave your device for recognition purposes.
Data Retention: Linget does not store or retain captured images for recognition. Processing is temporary and local.
For more information about Apple privacy practices, please refer to Apple privacy information.
Provider: Apple Translation framework (on-device)
Purpose: To translate words between supported language pairs for vocabulary learning.
Processing: Translation is performed on-device through Apple's Translation framework. Required language packs are downloaded directly from Apple, governed by Apple's terms.
Data Transmission: Linget does not transmit your input text or translations to proprietary Linget servers.
Provider: Apple iOS AVSpeechSynthesizer or other built-in Apple system services
Purpose: To provide local audio playback for vocabulary pronunciation and language-learning content.
Processing: Speech synthesis is handled on-device through Apple's built-in system services.
Data Transmission: Linget does not transmit text-to-speech data to proprietary Linget servers.
Linget may optionally use Apple iCloud services, including CloudKit, to sync your personal vocabulary collection across your Apple devices.
Purpose: To allow optional syncing of your sticker collection, learning progress, mastery levels, streak, review schedule, and preferences across your Apple devices.
Data Control: Synced data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy terms.
Access: We do not have access to, control over, or ownership of data stored in your personal iCloud account.
Optional Use: You may manage or disable iCloud access for Linget through your device settings.

We analyze pseudonymous, anonymized, or aggregated data through Firebase Analytics and similar tools to enhance our services and ensure compliance with legal requirements, aiding in the prevention of fraud and illegal activities.
Where applicable, our services and integrated third-party SDKs use cookies, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to understand user interactions and store preferences related to your use of our services. You can manage these settings to adjust your privacy preferences, including through the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
You have the right to opt out of receiving promotional communications and to manage, access, or modify your personal data, except where retained for legitimate business or legal reasons. You may also withdraw your ATT consent at any time through your device settings.
This Privacy Policy is subject to updates, which will be reflected in the revised document available on our platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued engagement with our services after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the terms.
By using Linget, you confirm that you understand and agree to the terms set out in this Privacy Policy, ensuring a secure and transparent user experience.
For users located in the European Union or other regions covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Linget relies on your explicit consent (granted when you accept this Privacy Policy and grant system-level permissions such as camera, App Tracking Transparency, notifications, or iCloud access) and on legitimate interests for analytics, attribution, anti-abuse, and service improvement purposes.
For users in California, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not retain your sticker collection, learning progress, or other personal vocabulary content on proprietary Linget servers.
You may request information, access, or deletion of personal information processed about you, subject to verification and applicable limitations.
Linget does not sell your personal information and does not share your personal vocabulary content (captured images, sticker collection, learning progress) with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We share limited technical and usage data with the third-party SDK providers listed in Section VIII solely for the purposes described in that section (analytics, attribution, subscription management, anti-abuse).
Service providers referenced in Section VIII process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms and applicable data processing agreements.
Adjust and Google Ads on-device conversion measurement may receive limited attribution signals (such as install events, in-app events) to attribute app installs and measure ad performance. Apple Search Ads attribution operates through Apple's AdServices framework.
Linget does not retain your captured images, sticker collection, or learning progress on proprietary servers for advertising purposes and does not use behavioral tracking on your personal vocabulary content.
If our business operations change in the future, any transfer or handling of information will comply with applicable privacy laws and this Privacy Policy. We will notify users of any material change as required by law.
We may disclose information if required by applicable law, legal process, or valid governmental request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
Camera Access — Allows Linget to access your device camera when you choose to capture real-world objects for recognition and AR Live practice. Camera access is only activated when you initiate the capture process or open AR Live mode.
ARKit / Motion — Allows Linget to use ARKit world tracking for the AR Live mode so vocabulary stickers can be placed in real space. ARKit data is processed on-device only.
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — Where shown on first launch, the ATT prompt asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. Granting permission allows IDFA-based attribution through Adjust and other measurement providers. Denying permission limits attribution to privacy-preserving methods. You can change this at any time in device settings.
iCloud Access — May allow Linget to sync your sticker collection, learning progress, mastery levels, streak, and preferences through your personal iCloud account.
Notifications — Allows Linget to send local or push notifications to remind you of due reviews, daily streaks, or learning suggestions. You can manage notifications at any time through your device settings.
Speech Output — Linget may use Apple's built-in speech services to provide pronunciation playback for vocabulary stickers. Speech output is processed through Apple system services and is used only to provide the requested learning feature.
Linget is designed to reduce privacy risks by avoiding unnecessary data collection. Security practices include:
On-device object recognition (Vision / Core ML)
On-device translation (Apple Translation framework)
On-device speech synthesis
On-device ARKit processing
No proprietary server storage of captured images or personal vocabulary content
Use of encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) when communicating with third-party SDK providers
Optional iCloud syncing controlled by the user through Apple services
Anti-abuse verification through Firebase App Check and Adjust Signature
Linget does not operate proprietary servers for personal vocabulary content. Data processed by third-party SDKs (Firebase, Adjust, RevenueCat, Google Ads conversion measurement, Apple Search Ads) may be processed on servers operated by those providers in various jurisdictions, in accordance with their respective privacy policies and applicable cross-border transfer safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required).
If you enable iCloud syncing, data may be processed through Apple infrastructure according to Apple's privacy terms and applicable laws.
Although Linget is designed to minimize data collection, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We encourage users to manage device permissions, iCloud settings, and app access through their device privacy controls.
Captured Images and AR Frames: Frames captured for object recognition or used in AR Live mode are processed temporarily on-device and are not retained by Linget. A processed sticker thumbnail you choose to save is stored locally on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account).
Learning Progress: Your sticker collection, mastery levels, review schedule, streak, and preferences may be stored locally on your device or optionally synced through your personal iCloud account.
Third-Party SDK Data: Pseudonymous analytics, attribution, subscription, and anti-abuse data shared with Firebase, Adjust, RevenueCat, Google Ads conversion measurement, and Apple Search Ads is retained according to each provider's retention policy. Refer to each provider's privacy policy in Section VIII.
You may delete local app data by deleting Linget from your device or managing app data through your device settings. You may manage iCloud-stored data through your Apple ID and iCloud settings.
Because Linget does not maintain proprietary user accounts or server-side personal vocabulary data, most data deletion can be handled directly through your device or iCloud settings. For data held by third-party SDK providers, deletion may be requested through each provider's own data subject request channels, where applicable.
You may also contact us with privacy-related requests, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Linget does not require user registration or login to access its main features.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information
Request access to personal information, if any exists
