APEC Schools Fun Week 2025 set the court on fire as the Teams Amber, Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby faced off for the championship.
The highly anticipated Fun Week 2025 officially started with a bang on February 17, 2025. in the Molino III covered court.
The Fun Week 2025 Sportsfest of APEC Schools Bacoor continues to bring the court on fire as the 4 teams face off for the finals. With each team competing, they flaunted confidence, strength, and sportsmanship. But, at the end of the day, only 1 team is going to bring home the trophy and will be recognized as the winning team of Fun Week. The event was held on February 18, 2025, at Courts Molino II and III.
Both courts from Molino II and Molino III are utilized for each sport to smoothly deliver the game and rounds. The two courts were set up early at 8:00 in the morning, with nets tied up and players warming up. It’s time to bring out their best for the finals.
In Molino III, the basketball finals featured junior high school teams Ruby and Sapphire for the Battle for Third. Team Sapphire secured 3rd place with a score of 46 and only 3 team fouls, while Team Ruby finished with 26 points and 11 fouls. Sapphire's strategic play and strong skills led to their victory, while Ruby's determination resulted in numerous fouls. After a short break, senior high school teams Sapphire and Ruby warmed up for an intense match in the loser’s bracket. Ruby took an early lead and maintained their dominance despite Sapphire’s efforts to catch up. In the end, Ruby secured 3rd place with a score of 92, while Sapphire finished with 53, thrilling the excited crowd.
After an action-packed morning of basketball games, everyone took a lunch break to recharge before the championship matches for both junior and senior high school divisions. Around 1 PM, the junior high school winners' bracket match between Team Amber and Team Emerald began, ending with Amber securing 1st place with a score of 48 to Emerald’s 37. The intense game saw outstanding performances from both teams, with Team Amber’s player No. 2, John Dave Alcantara, impressing the crowd with his skill and agility. After a brief wait, the senior high school winner’s bracket basketball game kicked off with high energy. Both teams played aggressively, battling for possession and defending fiercely. With the crowd cheering, Team Amber claimed victory with a final score of 95, while Team Emerald finished with 51 in an intense and thrilling match. In both the junior and senior high school basketball divisions, Team Amber took 1st place, followed by Team Emerald in 2nd, while Teams Sapphire and Ruby alternated 3rd and 4th places, with Sapphire finishing 3rd and Ruby 4th in junior high, and Ruby 3rd and Sapphire 4th in senior high.
Meanwhile, the volleyball and badminton championship battle commenced at the Molino II court. Teams Ruby and Sapphire faced off in an intense female volleyball match, showcasing their competitive spirit. In the first set, Sapphire played smoothly and maintained their lead despite Ruby's late efforts to gain momentum, securing a 25-20 victory. Ruby responded fiercely in the second set, taking control early while Sapphire struggled to catch up, resulting in a 25-21 win for Ruby. The decisive third set saw Sapphire regain their energy, battling through a thrilling mid-game tie at 15 points before ultimately dominating with a 28-26 victory, claiming the match.
In the male volleyball championship match between Sapphire and Amber, the first set began with Amber playfully engaging in the game, but the intensity escalated at match point, leading to a 25-14 win for Sapphire. Amber bounced back in the second set with fierce rallies and sharp spikes, dominating the court and winning 25-11. In the final set, Sapphire outmatched Amber’s energy while maintaining great sportsmanship throughout the game. Despite the loss, Team Amber showed their support for the victors, as Sapphire sealed the match with a 25-16 win. Sapphire emerged as the champion in both the female volleyball match against Ruby and the male volleyball match against Amber, securing first place in both events.
In the Male Doubles preliminary match between Team Ruby and Amber, Ruby dominated with commanding wins of 21-4 and 21-12 to claim the victory. Ruby Male Doubles showed strong coordination and control throughout both rounds. Meanwhile, in the preliminary match between Team Emerald and Sapphire, Sapphire secured a solid win with scores of 21-13 and 21-10. Sapphire Male Doubles displayed consistent performance to emerge as the clear winners. In the female doubles match, Sapphire defeated Emerald in three rounds. After winning the first round 21-14, Sapphire dropped the second 17-21 but secured the championship with an 11-7 victory in the final round.
And for the Championships in the Female Doubles match between Team Emerald and Sapphire, the teams battled through three rounds, with Sapphire winning the first place. Sapphire Doubles Female clinched the victory with an 11-7 finish in the final round. In the Male Doubles match between Team Ruby and Sapphire, Ruby secured a dominant victory with identical scores of 21-12 in both rounds. Ruby Doubles Male emerged as the clear winner of the match. In the Male Singles Championship between Team Ruby and Emerald, Ruby triumphed with a 2-1 round victory, securing the final win with a close 15-13 in the third round. In the Female Singles Championship, Ruby dominated with straight-set wins of 21-11 and 21-14 to claim the title.
