APEC Schools' Third Club Day

On the 17th of November, 2024, APEC Schools Bacoor held its third club day, marking yet another Saturday of recreation, collaboration, and learning. This monthly gathering not only provides a chance for students to have fun and unleash their creativity, but also allows students in each club to hone their skills and their talents, refining them with each club day that passes, and aiding them into becoming a better version of themselves.

Being one of the most notable clubs, Amplify’s club members had a productive morning well-spent; in the first half of the day, time was expended for members to cultivate their skills and talents across various areas such as writing, photography, videography, and illustration, with the guidance of adept facilitators and learning activities. The second half was dedicated to planning for future events, discussing coverage assignments, future layouts, as well as booth ideas for Fun Week which will be celebrated sometime after the holiday break.

In the visual arts club, the creative juices flowed through every member’s veins as they made their visions come to life, with several students planning out and designing decorations for upcoming school events. Those who were not assigned to this planning did an equally creatively nourishing activity, creating art pieces that incorporated certain shapes and patterns that inspired expressiveness and imagination in the talented students, further fostering the growth of their skills and allowing them to think innovatively–a valuable trait that will last them a lifetime.

On the other hand, the e-games club fostered friendly competition and honed their game-playing skills with their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming session of the day. Members were split into four teams and were tasked to battle one another in a game of MLBB until a team reigns as a winner. This activity encourages good-natured competition and cultivates good sportsmanship, both essential traits that are crucial in facing battles and hurdling challenges in not only online games but in the real world as well.

In a different scene, members of the performing arts club rocked the room with their talent, as the dance club, choir, and band participated in their respective activities. As dancers from the dance club rehearsed for the morning energizer that they are set to host as part of the flag ceremony on Monday morning, the choir’s melodious voices could be heard in another room, preparing for future endeavors wherein they are to perform. And, from the skillful thrum of their guitars to the riveting snare of their drums, the band filled the room with lively noise in a jamming session as the performing arts club nurtured talent and celebrated creativity.

All the while, the debate club sharpened their minds as they engaged in a few activities that aided in their development as insightful debaters. They started by watching a debate and had a short activity that practiced the members’ abilities in giving and receiving criticism. After a short discussion, they proceeded to another activity that exercised the young debaters’ perception of pursuing communication. By emphasizing these aspects of communication, the members of the debate club can apply their

knowledge in both instances of dispute, and other aspects of life when they encounter failure or misdirection.

Lastly, the sports club spent their day at the Greensite court in Greensite Homes Subdivision, Bacoor. The basketball team, volleyball team, and badminton team did their usual training, doing their essential warm-ups before the players put their game on and split into teams, playing against each other in a couple of rounds to polish their abilities. Today was not about which teams in which sport won, but rather the opportunity given to refine their skills and talents in their sport, as well as demonstrating the value of teamwork and camaraderie.

When the morning ended, the students said their goodbyes and walked away from this club day enlightened and inspired with confidence in their abilities as their club activities continued to help them to evolve and foster—a testament to APEC Schools’ commitment to providing real-world learning that delegates their students’ growth to become individuals equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to become accomplished and successful.
