Beyond the Margins:
Celebrating Words on Literary Day

A few days into the second quarter, APEC Schools Bacoor announced the much-anticipated Speech Choir Competition, held as part of this year’s Literary Day on November 29, 2024. With the theme "Voice of the Nation: Rights, Conviction, and Nation Building," students were tasked with crafting a 20-line poem that embodied this powerful theme. Representatives from each section performed their compositions before a panel of judges, beginning a competitive yet inspiring journey.
The elimination round on November 19 showcased the talents of every section. Judges tirelessly evaluated performances from morning until afternoon to determine the finalists who would advance to the grand finals. Ultimately, three sections—one from junior high, one from Grade 11, and one from Grade 12—secured their spots. The stage was set for the highly anticipated Literary Day celebration, featuring the grand finals and exciting events designed to honor the power of words and creativity.
Speech Choir: A Stage for Passion and Expression
The day began at 8:00 a.m., with the finalists pouring their hearts into their final performances. Their voices reverberated with conviction, capturing the essence of the theme, "Voice of the Nation: Rights, Conviction, and Nation Building." Each performance showcased the students’ creativity, passion, and ability to convey meaningful messages through poetry.
By 11:00 a.m., the long-awaited awarding ceremony began, marking the culmination of weeks of effort and dedication. The champions were announced as follows:
Junior High Champion: Grade 8-Service-1
Grade 11 Champion: 11-ABM-1
Grade 12 Champion: 12-ABM-1
Overall Champion: 11-ABM-1
