APEC Schools conducted a week-long Career Development Week from February 24 to 28, 2025, aimed at helping students explore career options and prepare for their future professions.
On February 24, the week began with students dressing up as professionals they aspire to become, such as doctors, engineers, teachers, and entrepreneurs. Peer facilitators interviewed students about their chosen careers, with Rheily Tiangco and Jayden Sophia De Guzman leading the morning shift and Maxine Oclarit and Jameelah De Guzman facilitating the afternoon. These conversations gave students the chance to share the inspiration behind their career choices, encouraging everyone to take pride in their goals.
On the second day, asynchronous classes allowed students to engage in an online activity titled Career Beliefs: Myths vs. Facts, which addressed misconceptions about career planning and emphasized the balance between passion, skills, and realistic goals. The third day focused on career self-assessment. Students accessed online tools recommended by the APEC Guidance team to reflect on their interests, strengths, and possible career options.
On February 27, Grade 12 students were allowed to explore their college options through a room-to-room admission info drive. Representatives from various colleges and universities—including the National College of Science and Technology (NCST), St. Francis of Assisi College (SFAC), National University Dasmariñas (NU Dasma), Asian Institute of Science and Technology (AISAT), STI College, Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC), and De La Salle University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D)—visited classrooms to present their academic offerings, scholarship programs, and admission requirements. The initiative provided students with essential guidance and helped them take informed steps toward their higher education goals.
The week concluded on February 28 with a series of career talks featuring professionals from fields such as psychology and business. Speakers shared insights into their responsibilities, challenges, and essential skills. A Q&A session allowed students to engage with the guests directly.
Career Development Week in APEC Schools served as a vital platform for students to visualize their futures, gain exposure to real-world opportunities, and take practical steps towards their academic and professional goals.
