The APEC Bacoor Student Council releases AY 2024–2025 financial report, promoting transparency, accountability, and student involvement in budgeting and decision-making.
Every academic year has goals, challenges, and milestones, including the APEC Schools Bacoor Student Council. For academic year 2024–2025, the Student Council released a report about finances, including how these funds were spent supporting students' activities and initiatives. This brings transparency, accountability, and trust through a clear breakdown of revenues and expenses and highlights decisions made while encouraging future involvement in financial decisions.
This financial report presents an open and clear perspective of the financial movement of the Student Council within an academic year. It covers all the income from all events and donations and how the distributed funds were used in students' programs, events, and costs. In line with this, the council has outlined the possible expenditures and the actual spending as per the sources that were managed.
The Student Council received ₱4,097.50 at the start of the school year to cover the expenses for the first few months of school events, which could then help circulate the cash flow throughout the year.
The Open House, an event where newcomers can come visit APEC Schools Bacoor and get a chance to participate in an assortment of activities before the official opening of classes, generated an income of ₱1,514.50, which included the amount of merchandise sold as well as the payments made for the activities.
Foundation Day, which occurred last September 26, 2024, was a celebration of APEC Schools' establishment, which consisted of live band performances, mini carnival games, and games in which teams competed against each other. In the end, it brought in a modest ₱469, with only several of the popular activities requiring payment.
Later on, Literary Day, last November 29, 2024, earned ₱968.50 in income, mainly from the assortment of booths providing a variety of literary experiences such as interactive games, puzzles, and book fairs, aside from the main event of the Speech Choir competitions.
For the bulletin board, the council went ₱617 over budget, along with the Christmas tree making, for which they overspent ₱432, with both instances occurring due to the extra cost of materials and supplies.
On the other hand, the Year-End Party was fun, filled with food, games, and performances, and also a contribution from the Candy Cane Mail project. Through its successful sales and earnings, the event generated a total income of ₱ 1,256. For the Symphony of Love concert, it made ₱1,270 from the income from the product of bracelets, flower delivery, love mail, and Himig ng Pag-ibig, which the students were given a chance to request or dedicate a song to their friends or special someone. As well as Symphony of Talents, an on-stage showcase of students' talents, raised ₱14,857.50 in ticket sales and sponsorships to cover production costs. The major part of the funds was used for lights and sound, with ₱5,000 spent, and the venue, which cost ₱4,000, both are contributing to a vibrant and memorable experience for all performers and audience.
Overall, the total income from all events organized by the Student Council, including the Year-End Party, Symphony of Love, Symphony of Talents, and other activities, amounted to ₱23,389.50. However, the total expenses for Siklab ng Husay (Sikhay), which was the collective fund from all the events, reached ₱23,659.45, resulting in a net loss/income of ₱275.45. Despite the small loss, the funds raised helped support various student initiatives and council activities throughout the academic year.
Despite a few bumps in the road, the Student Council displayed significant success in providing services, handling financial matters, and making use of available resources. And though several adjustments and improvements could have been made, the Student Council remains a significant figure in managing the school in its entirety. On behalf of the Student Council and its adjacent members, this report aims to provide transparency and honest insight into the financial matters that occurred throughout the school year 2024 to 2025.
