APEC Schools Bacoor marks Special Clubs Recognition Day with big wins for Amplify, the Student Council, and Peer Facilitators Group.
On the afternoon of May 20, APEC Schools Bacoor hosted a local viewing party for the annual Special Clubs Recognition Day, which was originally planned to take place at the National Teachers College (NTC) but was moved to an online Zoom event. Despite the shift in format, the program successfully recognized outstanding student leaders and club members from various APEC Schools branches.
Three major student organizations were honored during the event: Amplify, the Student Council, and the Peer Facilitators Group (PFG). These groups were commended for their leadership, creativity, and service to the student community throughout the school year.
The publication team of Bacoor also achieved notable success in the Amplify Journalympics, a short documentary film competition joined by students from different APEC branches, as they secured four out of six awards, which include the Wave Maker Award, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Documentary Film. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to Amplify Bacoor’s club moderators, Miss Ma. Ella Mae Deuna and Miss Johncel Ann Agustin, for their guidance and support. Along with this, members of the Amplify Bacoor also received individual awards: Jose Antonio Latoza was awarded Editor of the Year, Maria Covinnie Martinez received Writer of the Year, Alleyya General was named Artist of the Year, and Chelsea Masicampo earned the title of Content Creator of the Year.
The Peer Facilitators Group received the Kahusayan Award, which is given to chapters that exemplify excellence in student guidance and emotional support. In addition, Zoe Madison Blanco was recognized as the Most Outstanding Peer Facilitator across APEC Schools Bacoor for her consistent dedication to peer assistance and mental wellness initiatives.
Meanwhile, The Student Council of APEC Schools Bacoor earned multiple honors under the Siklab ng Husay (SikHay) program. The branch was named SikHay Project of the Year, tying with APEC Schools Dasmariñas. Bacoor also received the SikHay A.C.T Award and the SikHay Best Project Design Guide, recognizing their leadership in planning, execution, and advocacy-focused initiatives. Certificates of appreciation were given to the Student Council lead adviser, Miss Abigail De Jesus, and deputy advisers, Miss Jocelyn Candelario and Mister Adrian Vistacion, in recognition of their dedication and support.
At APEC Bacoor, students gathered to watch the livestream together, creating a shared space to celebrate the accomplishments of their fellow club members and to honor the spirit of leadership, service, and creativity that fuels every student initiative. Beyond certificates and applause, Special Clubs Recognition Day echoed a deeper truth—that leadership is defined by influence, not position; by purpose, not perfection. In every project completed, every voice amplified, and every peer supported, the students of APEC continue to embody what it means to grow, serve, and lead—striving to be better each day, not just for themselves, but for the communities they’re part of.
