by Liezel Ann Bacay
Every student and learning facilitator at APEC Schools is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week which has the MCH theme of #Stay Hopeful Turning Uncertainties of Today into a #Before Tomorrow from November 21 to November 25, 2022. A whole week to spread awareness about mental health and to remind everyone that mental health is important.
It is celebrated by creating various activities like “Anonymous Word of Encouragement and Hope” where students can request to send messages of hope to their peers and/or anyone in the school community, “Words of Hope: Poetry Contest” that give chances to our talented students to join and write free verse poem that relates to the theme, and many more activities that students will surely enjoy.
According to novelist Matt Haig in his book Reasons to Stay Alive "There is no standard normal. Normal is subjective. There are seven billion versions of normal on this planet”. Being yourself is what is normal so remember to love yourself even though no one can because in the end you, yourself, will always understand you.

A school is considered a good one when school policies and systems are implemented well. It gets better when the right leaders, personnel, or officers sit and take the role.
On October 27, 2022, APEC Schools Lipa announced changes in the school structure in preparation for the blended learning modality that started on November 2, 2022. The changes in the school structure were due to secure the operational and academic functions under one department. This reorganization happened in all APEC Schools branches. New school officers were evaluated and chosen through their previous and current performances and their attitude when it comes to leadership.
