Reading Program: Reading Plus

Our school uses the Reading Plus program to help your scholar become a better reader. Reading plus helps scholars develop the skills they need to be proficient readers and lifelong learners. Through regular Reading Plus practice, reading will become easier, comprehension will increase and your scholars will make meaningful connections between what they are reading and what they are learning.

Assignments in each program can be completed in any order but please remind your scholar that the Reading Lessons (SeeReader) are the most important assignments! The program keeps track of assignments that are completed each week as well as your scholar’s progress toward overall lesson goals. Weekly assignments reset every Monday, so scholars can work on completing weekly assignments over the weekend if they are not able to do so during the week.

  • We ask that each scholar using Reading Plus try to spend at least 30 minutes per day completing any of the Reading, Vocabulary or Visual Skills Lessons. This amounts to about 2.5 hours per week and between 8 - 12 lessons.
