Mathematics with Calculus
Calculus is a course that primarily focuses on Algebra and Graphs and uses the skills you have learnt to focus on rates of change (ie gradients). It will lead into many fields after school like: Business, Economist, Physics & Engineering, Software Developer/Designer, Technology, Operations Research (optimisation), Computer Science (computer modelling), Medicine & Science, Education, IT & Telecommunications
This course covers units such as Algebra, Graphs, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate Geometry and Calculus.
Mathematics with Statistics
Statistics is a course that primarily focuses on Statistics and Probability and uses the skills you have learnt to focus on investigations, interpretation and probability problems. It will lead to many fields after school like: Business, Statistician, Medicine & Science, Analyst, Finance & Investment, Researcher, Operations Research (optimisation), Banking, Meteorologist, Education, Animal Welfare, Social Sciences, Hospitality & Tourism, Arts & Media
This course covers units such as Networks, Statistical Inference, Statistical Experiments, Simulations and Probability.
Mathematics
This is a general Mathematics course that offers a mixture of both.
Note: Taking Level 3 Calculus will be very difficult without taking MAC200 in Level Two. Please speak to your teacher asap if you know the Level 3 Calculus is your desired pathway so we can discuss suitable options.
