GEORGETOWN CENTRAL SCHOOL WORLD WIDE WEB SITE POLICY
Purpose:
The purpose of the Georgetown Central School World Wide Web (WWW) site is to support the Georgetown Central School Vision Statement:
In collaboration with students, staff and community, we expand and diversify the learning of our children through a variety of opportunities and the teaching of many.
Goals:
The Georgetown Central School WWW Site will:
• Introduce external visitors to the school
• Support the curricular and co-curricular activities of the school
• Point external and internal users to good internal curriculum resources
• Point internal users to good outside information resources
Guidelines:
• Student information, pictures, and cited work will require a signed release form before being published.
Students will be identified by first name only, or by first name and last initial, or by first initial only.
• The signed release form shall remain current for as long as the student is enrolled at Georgetown Central School unless permission is revoked in writing by the parent or guardian.
• Copyrighted software, data, or media may not be placed on Georgetown Central School electronic communication system without written permission from the holder of the copyright.
