BUS TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL
1. Students are informed at the start of the school year of the bus conduct rule (see guidelines EEAEC-R}.
2. If a student fails to comply with a bus rule, the driver shall fill out a School Bus Discipline Report. Driver shall keep one copy and deliver one copy to the principal and the School Transportation Officer.
3. The principal will consult with the child describing the charge, the evidence, and solicit the student's version of the incident.
4. The School Bus Discipline Report and a Principal's Advisory Note will be mailed to the student's parent(s} or guardian(s) by the principal. (A duplicate will be kept on file.}
5. A second misconduct and resulting School Discipline Report during the school year will result in a minimum 3 day suspension of bus privileges. Transportation during the time of the suspension will be the responsibility of the parent(s} or legal guardian(s).
6. A conference between the principal, School Transportation Officer, parent(s) or guardian(s), and if possible, the driver will be held to discuss the student's bus behavior and how it can be improved.
Under certain circumstances the student will be asked to attend some, or all, of the conference.
