PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETINGS--DISTURBANCE OR DISORDER PROCEDURES

In the event a member or members of the audience cause disturbance or disorder during the course of a meeting of the School Committee, the chair shall have the authority to implement any or all of the following:

A. Order anyone causing such disturbance to cease immediately by ruling him or her out of order;

B. Order anyone causing such disturbance to leave the meeting;

C. Order a brief recess until order is restored;

D. Table the agenda item which precipitated the disturbance;

E. Adjourn and reconvene at a time and place selected by a majority of the School Committee; and

F. In extreme cases, order a recess and summon the police.
