Welcome back to School!

I am writing today to update and inform you on what is going on in the Fifth Grade.  I think we are off to a good start.

Next Friday, September 29th we have a field trip to the Waterville Opera House to see The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.  Students are very excited! 

Right now in Math we are studying volume, which also involves multiplication.  Students went home yesterday with a letter explaining our current unit.  During Science and Social Studies we are studying some U.S.history(Constitution day, Patriot's day), some United States Geography, Scholastic News current events, and in Mystery Science, Chemistry.

Thank you to all the parents who have donated snacks and school supplies. Your generosity is so appreciated.

Just a couple of reminders, Gym class is on Mondays(please remind students to wear appropriate clothing and footwear), Library class is on Tuesday(please remind students to bring their books), a refillable water bottle each day for water, and we have snack time each day.  Students just need a small snack for this time.

If your child has a change in transportation/after school plans, please email or call the office to notify us before the end of the day.

At the open house I collected the best way to contact individual parents when necessary.  If you were unable to attend and would like me to contact you another way other than through email please send me a note or email to let me know the best way to reach you.
