To use English as a lingua franca while integrating local languages to enhance fluency, communication, and cultural openness.
Foster cooperation among students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, encouraging mutual learning and intercultural respect.
The activity focuses on exploring historical events and promoting active citizenship to build fair, peaceful, and inclusive societies. The name of our project is Imagine…SDG 16. SDG 16 refers to Sustainable Development Goal 16 of the 2030 Agenda, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions. Today, conflicts, threats to democracy, and humanitarian crises affect societies worldwide, showing how humans often repeat the same mistakes with serious consequences.
Students analyse events such as the bombings of Gernika, Rotterdam, and Maassluis, the Spanish Civil War, and Anne Frank’s diary, reflecting on their emotional impact and the lessons they teach about peace, solidarity, and empathy. Working in international groups, they create podcasts, letters, artistic pieces, and poetic reflections, presenting their projects interactively and sharing them on a virtual “Peace Wall.
