Joshua wants to see his students grow not only as people, but as amazing performers.
Kate has been working with DV Drumline since 2023. She attended Deer Valley from 2019-2023 where she was in Marching Band and Drumline for 3 years. Coming right out of high school, she started as a bass tech for the drumline and learned how to coach a full ensemble through the fall 2023/24 season. Kate is currently attending school and studying to become a music teacher and more specifically is hoping to become a choir director someday. Alongside coaching at Deer Valley during the fall season, during the indoor winter season she works with both Antioch High and Deer Valley as the combined group Antioch Unified Indoor Percussion (AUIP) and has been working with them since the group formed in 2024.
When it comes to teaching either group, Kate’s goal is to create a fun, comfortable environment where students feel safe to be themselves and thrive while doing what they love.
