August Update
Message from the Principals:
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and time with those you love. As we begin a new school year, we are excited to welcome everyone back to our school family. Year 3 in the Modular classrooms is going to be great. We have been very excited to watch our new school being built this summer!
This year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference. Together, we'll celebrate successes, overcome challenges, and create meaningful experiences for every student.
Thank you for your dedication, passion, and commitment to our students. We are grateful for each of you and can't wait to see all that we will accomplish together.
Here's to an amazing school year!
On Thursday, August 20th, stop by to drop off school supplies, see your classroom, and meet your teacher!
The event will run from 2:15-3:00.
To give our teachers time for their final classroom preparations before the first day of school, we ask that all families wrap up their visit by 3:00 p.m.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
Here are a few dates to put on your calendar for the start of the upcoming school year!
Please see the information above about arrival and dismissal times.
Traffic Pattern
Arrival and Dismissal traffic will flow following the green arrows. Cars will come down Antietam Road along Antietam Creek. The line will then start at the front of the first modular. There will be a sign were the line should begin.
Drop Off
Car Riders: Car riders will line up following the green arrows in the image above. Parents must stay in their cars. You may not enter the car loop from any other direction.
Buses and Day Care Vans: Drop off at the Gate B. Staff members will meet them and walk them into the building.
Pick Up:
Car Riders: We will be lining parents up at the end of the day following the green hours. Parents must remain in their cars while waiting to pick up students. ** Each family will be assigned a number. Parents will be given car rider numbers at Sneak A Peek (If you are unable to attend, they will be sent home on the first day of school.) The parent tag will hang on the lower passenger side of their windshield. The student will have the number on their backpack tag.
Helping your child learn how to buckle and unbuckle on their own will help to keep the line moving.
Buses and Day Care Vans: Will be walked from the building by staff members to meet the bus.
New this year: Students will not be dismissed to anyone who does not have the tag given by the school. If parents or guardians do not have their tag, they will be asked to park and come into the building with their ID to verify pick-up.
These are the items preferred by our classroom teachers. If your family needs help getting school supplies please reach out to the school or the PTL. We have supplies that were donated for our families.
Headphones are the most used item on the supply list, please be sure to provide them for your child.
Please reach out to our Community In Schools liaison, Courtney Stunz at cstunz@antietamsd.org, if you need support with school supplies.
