Anthony Wayne Junior High is proud to support several interscholastic athletic opportunities for our seventh and eighth grade student-athletes, including a basketball team for both the seventh and eighth grade girls. The seventh grade girls team is coached by Jeremy Terwilliger and the eighth grade girls team is coached by Emily Brandeberry

The purpose of the Anthony Wayne Generals Travel Basketball program is to provide an opportunity for boys and girls that live within the Anthony Wayne school district, or attend Anthony Wayne Local Schools, to learn the game of basketball and play at a high level of competition.

The purposes of the Anthony Wayne Jr. Generals (AWJRGBB) Rec Basketball Program are to provide an enjoyable experience for each youth participant; develop character, skills, sportsmanship; and to promote good will among all teams and individuals.

K-2 Skills Camps
K-2 Skills Camps
K-2 Basketball Skills Camp is a great starting experience for those kids interested in the sport of basketball. This program is designed to teach players the fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. The AWHS coaches are ready to show how fun this game can be and teach them the skills necessary to move on to the recreational league. Keep an eye out for registration options for Spring 2026!
