Fine and performing arts

1. Earning at least 3 credits of approved fine arts program electives in one or both of the following categories:

   • Performing arts (eg. drama/theatre, vocal/instrumental music, or music)

   • Visual arts (eg. 2D, 3D, digital, and art history)

2. Earning at least 2 credits of approved fine arts program electives and participating in 1 full season of a Board-approved visual or performing arts co- and extracurricular activity in one (1) of the recognized disciplines.

   • In order for participation in a fine/performing arts co- and extracurricular activity to count toward earning the seal, students must participate in the entire scheduled season of the activity. Participation must be verified by the program advisor, or coach.

Completion of the appropriate paperwork is required:

1. Proposed engagement plan

2. Verification of activities

• For this context, participation is defined as meaningful engagement during the amount of time for the activity (i.e. school year, season, etc).

These requirements may be replaced with those of the Arts Honors Honors Diploma defined by the Ohio Department of Education.
