David White

Hello!

My name is David White. I am the 5th Grade Reading teacher at Anson Elementary School. The 2023-2024 school year will be my tenth consecutive year of teaching, my sixth year at Anson ISD, and my fourth year at Anson Elementary! (I taught 6th Grade Social Studies and 7th Grade Reading at Anson Middle School from 2017 - 2019. I left the district for a year and very quickly realized Anson ISD was the BEST school district around!)

I was born in Sweeny, Texas (a very small town about an hour southwest of Houston) and graduated from Sweeny High School in 2009. I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2013 and decided to stay in Abilene afterwards. I married my wife, Kari, in 2012 and we had a son, James, in 2019. We live in Abilene with a sugar glider (Meg), a Lhasa Apsa (Maggie), and a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound mix (Honey). 

I am a big fan of super heroes, tabletop roleplaying games, anime, movies, fantasy, science fiction, video games, Disney, and basketball (specifically the Houston Rockets).
