About Me

    Hello:)   Just to let you know a little about me, I was an elementary teacher for 17 years.  The summer of 2019 I got my art certification and taught 7th and 8th grade Art for 3 years.   This will be my 2nd year teaching art HS Art and I LOVE it!  I have always loved art and I'm hoping to inspire our youth to love it as well.  There are so many job opportunities where an art background is needed.  I just recently read that 72% of business leaders say that creativity is the number one skill they look for in new hires.  Art is a great place to start exploring that creativity.  

     I have been married for 21 years and we have 3 children.  Blake is my oldest and he just graduated from Fire Academy and has applied to be an Abilene Firefighter.   Jacob is my middle child.  He is a senior and is involved in AG but his passion is fishing, so he is VERY excited about fishing on the Anson Fishing team again this year.   Kambree is my baby:).  She will be starting Middle School this year and she loves being with friends and family and has a passion for doing art just like her momma.
