I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001 with my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, and I graduated from The University of Texas Arlington in 2006 with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as a Reading Specialist.
I began my teaching career in Special Education and have taught all levels from 3-year-olds to Seniors. I began teaching at Anson ISD in 2010. I spent 9 years in 4th grade before moving to the High School to teach English III, IV, and Theater Arts. I was also the One Act Play Director.
In 2018, I became the Principal at the High School. This is the greatest experience I've had. I love being with the students every day!
I have been married to Glen Overby for 24 years, and we have two beautiful girls, Landry and Laramy. Glen is the Regional Team Leader for the USDA-NRCS over Jones, Haskell, Knox and Baylor Counties. Landry is a Senior at West Texas A&M University, where she is a member of the Track and Field Team. Laramy is a Freshman at Texas A&M University.
Glen and I spend our free time chasing our girls and watching them participate in their extra-curricular activities.
