Secondary School Progress Reports will be sent home on Oct. 9th. This is a valuable opportunity for parents and students to review both accomplishments and areas for improvement, helping students understand where to focus their efforts moving forward.
Registered ANS students are scheduled to take the SAT on Saturday, October 5th. We encourage students to be well-rested and adequately prepared for this important exam to perform at their best.
ANS 6th Grade Art students are working on a mixed media art project that involves using liquid watercolor and markers. This project allows them to explore the fundamental elements of:
Art line
Color
Visual texture
As they create a representation of an object of their choice. By doing so, they are learning how to effectively combine these artistic principles to create a visually captivating and personally meaningful work of art.
The string ensemble class had the wonderful opportunity to perform a selection of national songs for the elementary students. This special event was designed to ignite a passion for music in younger students by introducing them to the rich cultural heritage embedded in these compositions. In parallel they are practicing fundamental musical scales.
Students in the fine arts class are currently delving into the pottery wheel technique. This exploration enables students to learn about the cultural and practical significance of pottery, as well as develop their creative and technical skills in sculpting and shaping clay.
ANS 8th Grade students are learning about the U.S. Constitution and its fundamental principles. They are analyzing real-life scenarios to apply their newfound knowledge, helping them understand how the governmental systems function in practice.
In their next unit, they will dive into the electoral process, and with elections coming up, they will have the opportunity to understand the developments and outcomes in real time on November 5!
This week, Secondary students completed School Climate and Self-Management surveys to assess their sense of belonging and overall feelings about the school environment, while also reflecting on their goals and classroom behavior. The surveys were conducted anonymously and the results will offer valuable insights to the Secondary team, enabling them to better support students' needs.
For the second week in a row, ANS hosted college visits from prestigious institutions. These institutions include Villanova, Georgetown, Universidad de Navarra, Loyola and St. Edwards.
Our ANS College Counselor was invited to visit Hult International Business School to learn more about trends and challenges high school students face during the college application process.

The Hungry Tiger is dedicated to continuously enhancing their services for the students and the community at ANS. In order to improve their service quality, they have implemented the following actions:
Underwent comprehensive training with the U.S. Association of Restaurants for Food Management to improve their food handling protocols.
Simplified the process for parents to add specific comments about food allergies or special instructions on the login page, ensuring that the unique needs of each student are effectively addressed.
Launched a program to encourage the recycling of meal packaging. Secondary students are invited to take part by depositing their clean packaging with Mr. Casco in Room 43.
Pastorela
