This semester, students are beginning an exciting journey with Microbit technology. They are starting their first circuit-building projects, using this innovative tool to bring their creations to life. While exploring the basics of electronics, they are also enhancing their coding skills by programming in Python.
Innovation in technology empowers students to transform their creative ideas into tangible projects.
In their 9th grade Social Studies class, students engaged in discussions on significant topics. Recently, they participated in a parliamentary debate aimed at addressing pressing issues affecting the population of a country.
The main goal of this activity was to foster dialogue leading to consensus and collaborative solutions for the benefit of the community. This enriching experience enabled students to:
Analyze and evaluate information.
Enhance critical thinking skills as they consider various perspectives.
Articulate their ideas clearly and persuasively.
Additionally, the activity strengthened teamwork as they worked together to prepare resolution documents.
This week in Physical Science and Chemistry, students studied chemical reactions and the Law of Conservation of Matter. To enhance their understanding, they created isolated systems to capture the gasses released during a reaction, ensuring that no matter was lost.
This hands-on activity provided them with the opportunity to see how matter is conserved even when substances undergo chemical changes.

In the first week of November, we hosted a representative from Loyola University. The visit included an engaging meeting with parents and students.
During lunchtime, high school students had the opportunity to ask questions and hear inquiries from their peers. Following that, a group of 20 students attended a formal presentation.
Thank you Loyola University for visiting our campus!
Stay tuned for upcoming university visits at ANS to explore more opportunities!
