The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is back! This week our primary scientists were excited to see the first Migratory Bird on our playground this year and to start collecting data about the birds we observe everyday. #ANSBirdwatchers!
This marks the start of our hands-on study of local bird species, where students are encouraged to observe, record, and analyze data on the different birds they encounter daily.
Through this project, students at ANS get a unique opportunity to:
Engage with real-life science.
Develop critical observation and data collection skills
Deepen their appreciation for local wildlife and ecosystems.
Each bird sighting adds to a growing database, fostering scientific curiosity and environmental stewardship among our young learners.
This Wednesday, our primary students had the chance to demonstrate their accomplishments from this quarter during our Student Led Conference. They showcased their writing, math exercises, Spanish literacy, reading comprehension, and other academic skills.
During the conference, students reflected on their goals for the upcoming quarter while celebrating their past achievements. We encourage parents to consistently participate in these Student Led Conferences to support their children's healthy educational growth.
This week, we hosted our Early Education Open House, and it was a pleasure to welcome so many families to the ANS community!
Families had the opportunity to learn about our innovative Early Education programs, which blend full English immersion, academic excellence, and a play-centered approach to inspire curiosity, leadership skills, and language development from day one.
Parents engaged with our educators, discovering the unique features of our Pathways (ages 3-4) and Kindergarten (age 5) programs, designed to set the foundation for lifelong success.
While parents explored our approach, children enjoyed engaging activities and interactive play stations that highlighted the creative, hands-on learning experiences at the core of our curriculum.
We’re excited to welcome new faces to the ANS family soon!
