Last week, the third-grade Tigers deepened their understanding of the significance of culture and national heritage. They participated in workshops focused on creating traditional dolls, spinning tops, and masks, gaining hands-on experience in these crafts.
Through this engagement, they learned that Casa de Artesanías serves not only as a toy store and workshop but also as a vital institution for preserving Nicaraguan culture. The students discovered how globalization affects these handcrafted items, realizing that the final products are often sent around the world as gifts, connecting people across different cultures.
The Rising Dale event for 4th and 5th graders is designed to cultivate essential skills such as healthy debating, communication, and leadership among young students. Through engaging dialog, participants learn to articulate their thoughts clearly, listen actively to differing viewpoints, and construct well-reasoned arguments. This environment encourages collaboration and fosters critical thinking, allowing students to explore various perspectives on important issues.
By instilling these skills at an early age, ANS students are not only prepared to express their ideas confidently but also equipped to become the thoughtful leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you to the DALE leadership for hosting such a remarkable event. Also Thank you to the parents for their dedication in encouraging their children's participation.
