Positions to be filled this year:
1 Vacancy for a position on the Board of Directors as a U.S. Citizen (3-year term)
1 Vacancy for a position on the Board of Directors as a Citizen of any nationality (3-year term)
3 Vacancies for the Vote Counting Committee (any nationality, 1-year term)
Voting Details:
Start: 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 2nd
End: 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th (the official election day)
Please ensure we have your family representative’s updated email address, as the voting link will be sent via email.

María Cristina Mendieta, Secretario de la Junta Directiva de la Asociación Pro-Escuela Americana, Colegio Americano Nicaragüense, con instrucciones de la Junta Directiva del Colegio, cita, en su primera convocatoria, a los representantes de las familias miembros de la Asociación a la Asamblea General Ordinaria anual, que se llevará a cabo el viernes 27 de septiembre de 2024, a las 7:00 a.m., en el Salón Ossi del Colegio, localizado en Lomas de Montserrat, en esta ciudad capital. En caso que no se cumpla con el quórum legal, se efectuaría una segunda convocatoria a las 7:30 a.m. de ese mismo día.

Mociones y Decisiones (para votar, los Estatutos establecen que cada familia tiene derecho a un voto y que debe estar solvente en sus obligaciones financieras. Si una familia estuviera representada mediante Carta Poder por otro Representante, dicha familia también deberá estar solvente)
Si no pudieran asistir, pueden ser representados por otro miembro de la Asociación, firmando una Carta Poder, similar al borrador que se encuentra adjunto. Un miembro de la Asociación puede representar hasta otros tres (3) representantes de las familias miembros.
Dear ANS Parents,
Mrs. Maria Cristina Mendieta, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the American Nicaraguan School, with instructions from the Board of Directors of the school, summons, in its first call, the representatives of the member families of the Association to the annual Ordinary General Assembly, which will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2024, at 7:00 a.m., in the Ossi Room of the School, located in Lomas de Montserrat, in this capital city. If the legal quorum is not met, a second call will be made at 7:30 a.m. that same day.

Motions and Decisions (to vote, the Bylaws establish that each family has the right to one vote and must be solvent in its financial obligations. If a family were represented through a Power of Attorney by another Representative, said family must also be solvent)
If you are unable to attend, you may be represented by another member of the Association by signing a Proxy, like the draft attached. A member of the Association can represent up to three (3) other family representatives.
Please take note of the updated calendar for Fiestas Patrias. There will be no school from September 16th to September 20th.
