Attention all ANS Parents we kindly ask that you sign the ANS After School Sports and Academy Participation Slip and Legal Waiver as soon as possible. Don't forget, both the uniform order and the waiver need to be completed before January 2025. Just download the form, sign it, and return it to the Athletics Department. Thank you for your cooperation!
We are also pleased to announce that the new sports uniforms for 2024-2025 are now available for purchase for all non-varsity student athletes.

Volleyball players and track athletes may use their own lycra or shorts, or choose to purchase them from the store's stock.

The design is consistent across all sports. Soccer and volleyball uniforms include sleeved shirts, while basketball and Track & Field uniforms come with sleeveless shirts.
Personalization: Names and numbers will be added at the time of purchase. Please note, only surnames are permitted, and numbers are assigned based on sign-up order for each sport or practice group.
We are thrilled to introduce these new uniforms to the community and are confident students will make the most of them as they proudly represent ANS. We can’t wait to see everyone in action!

Perseverance and Effort - the Longest Tennis Match
The longest tennis match in history was between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships:
Length: The match lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, or 665 minutes.
Location: The match took place on Court 18 at the All England Club in London.
Dates: The match started on Tuesday, June 22 and ended on Thursday, June 24.
Score: The final score was 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (7-9), 7-6 (7-3), 70-68.
Highlights: The match featured:
A closely contested first day, with the players splitting the first four sets
A 138-point tiebreaker in the fifth set
The scoreboard stopping working when the score was 47-47 in the fifth set
Impact: The match demonstrated the power of perseverance and the idea that those who don't give up can overcome the hardest challenges.
Rules: The match took place before the tournament's rules changed, which now require a first-to-10 tiebreaker if the score is tied at 6-6 in the final set.
