The Triatlón Atlético Interacademias held on December 2nd and 3rd at ANS was a fantastic event that fostered a spirit of healthy competition among students. Participants engaged in various athletic challenges, showcasing their skills and determination while promoting an active lifestyle. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students cheered for one another, highlighting the sportsmanship that sports can inspire.
10th grader Andres Alvarez has been a standout performer for our varsity boys soccer team this semester, and his performances saw him called up to join the U-17 National team for their recent training cycle held at the National Soccer Center in Diriamba.
It is a huge honor for ANS whenever a student achieves national level recognition and we are excited to see Andres receive further accomplishments in the future
Huge congratulations to him and his family.
As the community gears up for the conclusion of another thrilling semester of sports and anticipates upcoming vacations, our varsity soccer teams—both boys and girls—are diligently preparing for their most significant event of the year: the AASCA Soccer tournament, scheduled to take place in Nicaragua in early February.
The coaching staff has developed comprehensive plans to ensure our teams are in peak condition—physically, tactically, technically, and mentally—when they arrive at this event. This week, these plans, along with preparation schedules, were communicated to the families of the athletes selected to represent our school at AASCA soccer.
We extend our gratitude to everyone involved in this initiative for their willingness to dedicate time away from friends and family in pursuit of sporting excellence.
This week ANS hosted the 26th anniversary of SwimTigers Club. 6 teams from Managua took part with 110 swimmers and 150 family members coming to support their kids in our biggest swim meet of the year.
Our team’s swimmers have improved their personal best times considerably, the medal winners were:
Renata Delgado: gold in 50 breaststroke and bronze in 50 freestyle,
Dax Meneses: bronze in 50 breaststroke,
Jimin Kang: bronze in 50 breaststroke,
Xavier Hurtado: bronze in 25 breaststroke,
Anthony Park: bronze in 50 breaststroke,
Ethan Park, Dax Meneses, Jimin Kang and Renata Delgado also won bronze for the 4x25 meter freestyle relay.
Congratulations to our swimmers and coaches,
