君子兰舞蹈队简介

君子兰舞蹈队于2012年组建，是继密西根大学孔子学院舞蹈学习班后，一些对中国古典和汉民族的舞蹈产生了浓厚的兴趣的朋友自发组织了君子兰舞蹈队，把中国古典舞蹈和汉民族舞蹈作为我们学习的重点，向希望了解中国历史和主流文化的中美观众打开一扇窗口。

我们每个周末聚在一起学习舞蹈、相互切磋，共同提高。我们大多数人过去都没有太多的舞台经历，然而我们非常幸运地有一位德艺兼馨的队友自愿授课，她对教学非常认真，不厌其烦地指导和纠正每一个动作。通过几年的研习，我们在舞艺上有了很大的提高。由于我们的舞蹈多出自中国古典文学，我们在学习和体会中国舞蹈过程中，对中国古典文学和中国文化有了进一步的了解，淘冶了性情，增进了身心健康。我们排练过的舞蹈有古典舞《桃夭》《采薇》、《踏歌》、《洛水佼人》，民族舞蹈《风酥雨忆》、《紫竹调》、《雨打芭蕉》、《雨中花》。我们的节目每年都会参加安娜堡天涯共此时中秋晚会、Ann Arbor Briarwood Mall Chinese New Year Celebration、 Canton international art festival 以及 Canton liberty festival的表演。为弘扬中华文化、活跃社区文化生活作出了奉献。

我们队目前有十四位队员，每周六在WCC排练。由于场地限制，我们目前不增加队员人数。

Clivia Dance Troupe

We are a group of people who are interested in classical and Han Chinese folk dances . We hope that our performance will give the audience a glimpse of Chinese history and culture.

For years, we meet every weekend to practice. Despite the fact that most of us did not have much stage experience before, we are very fortunate to have a teammate who is a very talented dancer by nature and volunteered to choreograph and teach the dances. With the group practice, we have not only improved our dancing, but also learned more about Chinese history and classical literature, because most of our dances were based on them. We both mentally and physically benefited from our dances.

Our repertoire also includes "Moonlit Night By The Spring River” (春江花月夜), “Cai Wei” (采薇) , "Ta Ge” (踏歌), "Spring Breeze And Rain” (风酥雨忆) ,"Purple Bamboo Melody” (紫竹调), "Rain Drops on Banana Leaves"(雨打芭蕉)，"Beautiful girls by Luo River" (洛水佼人），and "Flowers in the Rain"(雨中花）. We perform annually at the Ann Arbor Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, Ann Arbor Briarwood Mall Chinese New Year Celebration, Canton International Art Festival, and Canton Liberty Festival. We perform to promote Chinese culture and enhance our community cultural life.

Currently, we have 14 members and practice every Saturday at Washtenaw Community College. We can be reached through Ann-Hua Chinese School.
