This training is intended for whole grade levels, departments, or other small groups that want to work to establish a consistent behavior management system across classrooms. The modules are presented in 1-hour blocks and then followed up with observation, feedback, and modeling by a member of the District Behavior Support Team. Teachers learn to explicitly teach behavior expectations, how to effectively correct behavior once it has been taught, and how to handle situations when a student does not respond appropriately.

The Specialized Classroom Management workshop introduces you to key critical components of the Boys Town Education Model® and is ideal for self-contained and alternative school programs looking for a way to reduce disruptive behaviors. This multi-tiered, school-based intervention program – combined with a comprehensive motivation system – is designed for students needing tertiary supports, providing them with the positive behavior support they need to succeed.

Length: Half-Day for Refresher; Full Day for Initial
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) is an evidence-based de-escalation training taught by a CPI certified instructor. The program teaches trauma-informed de-escalation skills that reduce challenging behavior and helps prevent future incidents. Staff will be equipped on handling everyday crisis situations, including safe disengagements and restrictive interventions.

SEL is not a checkbox, and it’s not a therapy session. So what is it? This session covers the what and why behind social-emotional learning in schools and how to make Tier 1 SEL instruction more effective and engaging in the classroom. The training uses examples and best practices based on the district’s Tier 1 SEL curriculum (SecondStep for elementary; Compass for secondary).
