Alone No More Dog Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from overcrowded kill shelters. Founded in August 2020 by a group of animal advocates in Maricopa County to assist the local shelters who are inundated with a high volume of stray and surrendered animals. We partnered with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control as a New Hope Partner to work with behavioral, medical, and otherwise well-deserving dogs that are at-risk of euthanasia. Mission:Alone No More Dog Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from overcrowded kill shelters. Vision:Our focus is saving as many dogs as we can and successfully placing them in appropriate forever homes. We work with all breeds and all backgrounds, and we have an affinity for the behavior dogs that often get e-listed quicker than most. The dogs that are deemed “unadoptable” in the shelter setting often turn out to be wonderful pets with the proper help and care from our rescue. We will provide these animals with the safety and security they deserve to successfully transition them into their forever homes. We currently partner with the largest open-intake shelter, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Center, as well as rural shelters like Pinal County Animal Care and Control and High Country Humane. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and we’re working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home. We believe a rescue should show as much care for the people as they do the dogs, and that is a top priority at Alone No More. Finding the right match for the person is equally as important as finding the right match for the dog. After a dog is adopted, we remain as a support system to the dog as well as the adopter for any medical or training issues, questions or concerns. If the adopter can no longer care for the adopted dog, we take the dog back into our care. In addition to our rescue efforts, we aim to provide behavioral and medical resources to the community at large, specifically to those who are considering surrendering their pet to a county shelter. Our goal is to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter system; we serve as a resource to our community by providing information on pet ownership, resources for spay/neuter, positive behavior training, nutrition and veterinary care. As a 100% volunteer run rescue, we are always looking for a helping hand, be it monetary or donations of supplies. It takes a village to save as many dogs as we can and we can't do it alone. Please be assured 100% of donations received are used to cover the direct expenses of the non-profit. We believe in transparency and operating at the highest standard in everything we do. We will continue giving each paw a hand until the shelters are empty.
