APPLICATIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE 2022 HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

• The Community Holiday Assistance Program will provide gifts for children who reside in Ankeny or attend a school in Ankeny, and who meet the Ankeny School District's income eligibility guidelines, which can be found here: INCOME GUIDELINES

• In order to accommodate the number of applications we receive each year; we are requiring all applicants to communicate directly with their sponsor to exchange gifts. This means that your email address and phone number will be provided to your sponsor so that they can reach out directly to you. We cannot process any applications that do not agree to this condition.

• Applications must be fully completed in order to be accepted. This includes the wish lists for all children on the application. If lists are not completed, the application will not be processed.

• Applications will be processed on first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive assistance.

• It is extremely important to reach out to us if your contact information changes. If we are unable to make contact with you, gifts that have been provided for you may be given to another family who submitted an application.

• Please remember that this is a supplemental program. Our goal is to assist families with holiday wishes, but we cannot guarantee that everything on the list will be provided. Sponsors are asked to prioritize children.

• When filling out your wish list, please be very detailed. Although sponsors are not obligated to purchase all of the items listed, it does help them to have specific requests. Some things to consider as you compile your list: Favorite places to shop -- Bedding sizes -- Favorite cosmetic brand -- Favorite colors -- Clothing sizes (include whether toddler, child, or adult) -- Shoe sizes -- Home theme -- Membership ideas -- Video games (including console type) -- Cleaning supplies -- Board games or other games -- Toys (specific characters or types of toys) --Collections or hobbies -- Places/activities you enjoy outside of the home

• A written or emailed thank you letter is requested from all families to their sponsor. Correspondence should be completed no later than January 1st. Emailed thank you notes can be sent to holidayassistance01@gmail.com, and mailed thank you notes can be sent to: Ankeny Service Center, Holiday Thank You, 641 S. Ankeny Blvd., Suite H, Ankeny IA 50023.
