Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: Are world language courses semester long or year long?
Answer: Spanish and French classes become year long classes in 9th grade. They also earn high school credit when they pass these courses.
Question: What is Flex?
Answer: Flex is sort of like a homeroom or advisory period. On Mondays, we use Flex time for Leader in Me curriculum. On Tuesday-Thursday, flex is used to meet individual student needs. For example, teachers may pull a small group of students to review a math concept they struggled with. On Fridays, we often use the time to "Sharpen the Saw" and engage in self-care practices. This is also when we may hold a building assembly.
Question: What is Early Bird Strength?
Answer: This is a strength class that is offered before the school day begins. It is offered Mon/Thurs or Tues/Fri. Doors open at 6:50am and class starts at 7:05am. Sometimes students like to take this class to free open a study hall within their schedule.
Question: What is PEOPEL PE?
Answer: PEOPEL PE is a PE class for some of our Special Education students. Other students can apply to be peer helpers for this class. They can find the application here.
Question: Where can I find more information about sports and activities?
Answer: The best way to find the most up to date information is by reaching out to the respective coaches. You can get coaching contact information here.
