What are EOCs?
Students are required to take the STAAR end-of-course (EOC) assessments for courses in which they are enrolled as part of their graduation requirement. The STAAR EOC assessments test students for college readiness and mastery of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for each course.
Freshmen take Algebra 1, English 1, and Biology.
Sophomores take English 2 and U.S. History.
Students who do not meet the required scores on EOCs will retest until a passing score is achieved.
