In 2004, Carnegie Mellon and Qatar Foundation began a partnership to bring our own unique style of education to Qatar. Our campus brings together the best of both worlds – CMU’s creative, visionary approach and Qatar’s drive for knowledge and advancement. Today, Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers undergraduate programs in biological sciences, business administration, computer science, and information systems. More than 400 students from 60 countries call Carnegie Mellon Qatar home.
Biological Sciences at CMU-Q
Biological Sciences students at CMU-Q do more than study science: they learn to follow their curiosity, explore hypotheses, and contribute in a meaningful way as young scientists and researchers.
Biological Sciences students receive rigorous training in biology, while building a strong foundation in all of the natural sciences. They study biology at the macro and micro scales, focusing on five core areas:
