Rachel Hopkins

Hello! I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology with a minor in social work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020.

Over the past year, I engaged in a year-long fellowship at Pitt’s Center for Urban Education where I learned about critical mentorship, social justice education, and adaptive leadership theory while supporting 5th and 6th grade classes at Manchester Academic Charter School. I am passionate about student-centered practices and supporting Black youth as well as creating affirming and transformative spaces for identity exploration and radical imagination amongst educators. 

Lastly, for fun I love poetry, journaling, and spending time outside.
