Math Club to the PSO + Dessert Reception

Description: We will be attending the PSO’s performance of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, as well as works by Liszt and Galbraith, on Friday, February 9rd at 8:00pm. More information about the performance can be found here .
Students, faculty, and staff who attend are also invited to a dessert reception in the lower level of Heinz Hall directly after the performance!
The cost for undergraduate and graduate students will be $10 per ticket (cash only). Note that tickets are free for any student with financial challenges, which you can reach out to the department for assistance. Tickets can be picked up from Christine Gilchrist in Wean 6119 between the hours of 9am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.

Math Club Mentor/Mentee Kick-Off

Description: The CMU math club will be holding the Mentor-Mentee kick off event on Friday, September 8, from 5:40 - 7:00 pm in DH 2315. At the event, you will get a chance to speak with other students from the math community and meet potential mentors/mentees. There will also be pie! If you would like to attend, please fill out the RSVP form by September 7. Another form will be sent out after the event to actually sign up for the Mentor/Mentee program itself. Here's a short blurb about the program if you want to know more:
The CMUMC Mentor/Mentee program is designed to form connections among the math community at CMU! Whether you are new to CMU and looking for some guidance in your math career, or if you are older and want to guide some of the younger math generation, this program will be a great way for you to meet new people who love math as much as you do!! You do not need to be a math major to participate. Freshmen and sophomores will receive a mentor who is a junior, senior, or graduate student.

Description: This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with people in other years. In addition to fun social stuff, there will be an ice cream sundae bar (RSVP required)!
