Owen Petrucci - 3rd Year B-Arch
Carnegie Mellon's Center for Architecture Explorations is extremely important to me. When I was in 6th grade I went to my first C.A.E. Saturday Session. I mark that as the date I fell in love with architecture. I attended for multiple years and eventually came to be a student at C.M.U. because of it. I am a Junior in the Architecture Program. I have a love for architectural theory and sharing ideas. My past sessions have been centered around lens-building - in which we focus on a particular viewpoint to examine the world around us.
I look forward to meeting all of you!
Zoe Botta - 3rd Year B-Arch + Global Studies
Hello! I am a third-year Architecture and Global Studies student at Carnegie Mellon University and have a strong passion for accessible and community-focused design. Having grown up in a small town and with an education emphasizing creative thinking and problem-solving, I learned early on how to work with and for my community, and create interesting and dynamic design solutions to everyday problems. My teaching experience includes being a middle and high school writing tutor (currently with the Gelfand Center) as well as teaching early education through creative camps over the summer. Most recently I assisted with CMU's orientation, working with incoming freshmen to help them become comfortable on campus.
I am so excited to jump into the amazing world of architecture!
Gloria Lee- 5th Year B-Arch + Business Administration
Hello! My name is Gloria and I'm looking forward to assist in teaching for the Center of Architecture Explorations this year. I hope that I will be able to share my architectural knowledge and interest for urban design and planning. I believe that architecture is for all people and that it is important to design spaces considering all conditions to help improve our own ecosystem and experience. My teaching and leadership involvement includes teaching positions for architecture electives during the school year, CMU AIAS and Undergraduate Student Senate etc. I hope to bring my skills and passions to the table and also continue to grow and learn from my peers and from this appreciative opportunity. Super excited to meet everyone!
Francesca Menéndez- 4th Year B-Arch
Hello, my name is Francesca, and I am a fourth-year B.Arch student at CMU originally from Miami, Florida. I explore architecture through an interdisciplinary lens, focusing on how anthropology, psychology, and history intersect with the built environment. I previously worked as a teaching fellow for Breakthrough Miami for three years, teaching Math, English, Science, and History to 5th and 6th grade disadvantaged students. Outside of architecture, I am also a Tartan Scholars ambassador, serving as a mentor to first-year students at CMU. I am so excited to teach architecture this school year to encourage students to become involved with their communities through architecture.
Mahika Singh - 3rd Year B.Arch + HCII

For me Architecture goes far beyond just designing buildings—it influences how we live, interact, and experience the world around us. I’m excited to explore with you the many ways it can shape our environments and improve everyday life. I can’t wait to meet everyone!
