Course Description : This course explores how to design a temporary, pop-up, disintegrable pavilion piece with minimal environmental footprint. We will explore materials, joints, and construction methods to work around this theme.

Course Title : Moon or Mars
Teaching Team : Zoe Botta & Mahika Singh
Course Description : What do we need to live in our climate, what would we need to live in other world climates? In this course we will explore the climates of both the moon and mars, students will then have the opportunity to design a colony that would support human life on either of the planets, utilizing environmental building practices. The course will help to create an understanding of site and location as well as how to apply and institute green building.

Course Title : Biome Buildings
Teaching Team : Francesca Menendez & Gloria Lee
Course Description : Studying vernacular architecture, students will create structures designed for different biomes (i.e. forest, desert, grassland, ocean) and explore how people adapt to different climates and natural disasters through architecture.
