Handshake

Handshake is CMU's online recruiting platform that will allow you to explore, find, and apply to job and internship opportunities, connect with great companies, and learn about your career options. Handshake will enable you to:

• Schedule an appointment with a Career Consultant

• Research employers/organizations that recruit at CMU

• Upload a resume/cover letter for employers to view

• Search and apply for both on- and off-campus jobs and internships

• Sign up for on-campus interviews

• View and RSVP for career fairs and career events

To get the most out of the system, log into Handshake and update your profile to contain the same or similar information as your resume and LinkedIn profile. In order to apply to internships/jobs posted in the system, upload a resume and update your work authorization information.

Pro Tip:  Make your profile public and select a resume to feature on your profile, so employers can find and review your qualifications.
