POST-INTERVIEW ASSESSMENT
Each interview should be a learning experience. After the interview (not during), write down questions, answers, and reflections. You can adjust your responses for the next interview and use these reflections as clues for future interviews. This will also be a great source for content for thank you notes. After each interview, complete a Post-Interview Assessment
THANK YOU NOTES
It’s important to follow up after your interview. Send each interviewer a personalized thank you note—email is common practice. In the note, emphasize your qualifications and skillset in relation to the position. Try to personalize the note by mentioning something from the interview that made this a memorable or enjoyable experience for you. If you did not get their email for any reason, you can send the note through your HR contact coordinating your candidacy.
Thank You Note Structure:
Thank them for their time
Name specific position of interest or purpose of the interaction
Request information about next steps
Insert 1 thing that was unique and enjoyable about your interview experience
