Classroom Policies

• Only water may be opened during class

• All cell phones will be placed in a basket by the door

• Since chorus is a performance art, all students will actively participate in class every day

• Students will treat others and themselves with kindness, respect, and dignity

Performance Policies

• All performances are required for a grade

• An Excused Absences from a performance will require a "make up" assignment to avoid a zero for the missed performance

• The make up assignment will be due 1 week after the performance date

• Each make up assignment will be a 2-3 page essay on a composer

• The composer essay will be 11 point Times New Roman font with double spacing

• Mr. Hatcher will select the composer for the student to research and write about

• Examples of excused absences include, but are not limited to, sudden and severe sickness, death in the family, physical injury due to an accident, etc

• Please communicate the absence in advance or as soon as you learn that you will be absent
