RAMSEY HILL
Meet Mr. Hill
Ramsey Hill is entering his 20th year in education. This will be his 3rd year at Westside. He earned his BS in Social Studies from Presbyterian College and his M.Ed. and Ed.S. in educational leadership from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Hill has served in various roles in education including social studies teacher, coach, assistant administrator, and assistant principal. Mr. Hill is married to his wife, Courtney, and they have three children, Ellynne, Peyton, and Baylee.
Math
Meet Brittany Loudermilk:
I have been a math teacher at Westside for 9 years, starting my 10th year. I have taught from 5 different classrooms in the school, primarily teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry. I am beginning my 7th year as the Color Guard coach hear at school. I also direct our Miss Westside Pageant. I am married to Jon, my first and only love. We have been together for 15 years and married for 8 years. We have 3 dogs (Simon, Echo, and Velvet) and 4 cats (Raz, Ciri, Tulio, and Eris) that we love to spend time with. In my free time, I play Dungeons and Dragons with friends, play video games, or attend Renaissance Festivals around the area. I also enjoy watching movies and tv shows at home to relax.
Meet Graden Patterson
My name is Graden Patterson and I am starting my second year in the Academy at Westside. I am a product of Anderson County, graduating from Crescent High School. This will be my third year teaching. Outside of the classroom, I am also an assistant Wrestling coach here at Westside. I am looking forward to another successful year here in the Academy! Go Rams!
Meet Gennifer Hampson
I have been an educator for 13 years. I spent 10 of those years teaching intermediate elementary grades in Palm Beach County, Florida. I moved to South Carolina in the summer of 2022 and taught 6th and 7th grade math in Spartanburg. I wanted to be closer to home, so I found my new home in Anderson 5 at Westside High School. I am a lifelong learner and love to make real-life connections in my teaching. I know that math can be tough for many students, and it is important to make connections for students to be successful. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!!
Meet Brady McVey
My name is Brady McVey and I am going into my second full year of teaching here at Westside! I am so excited to be here and am looking forward to teaching Geometry for the 3rd time!

Meet Christine Brown
I have been working in Education in many different capacities since 2008 and love the creativity I get to witness teaching English. This will be my fourth year at Westside since moving here in 2022 from New Hampshire. My husband was in the Navy and we lived in Washington state before NH. Outside of teaching, I am constantly busy with my three little boys with one more on the way, our dog Meatball, and teaching fitness classes. I am passionate about learning and became a licensed REALTOR in 2025 as well. This will be an exciting year and I look forward to the RAMS making it a great one!
Meet Mr. Slusher
I have been teaching in South Carolina for over 30 years, with experience in English, Theatre, Public Speaking, and Creative Writing. My first teaching assignment was at Westside from 1992-2002, after which I taught at Mauldin High School from 2002-2023. My wife Terri and I are both writers and live in Greenville with our two cats, Iris and Cole.
Meet Teri Burdette
This is my 23rd year teaching and my second year at Westside. I enjoy working in the freshmen academy. This is my seventh year teaching English 1. It is enjoyable to come to work where you are greeted with lots of smiling faces and lots of helping hands. The transition to Westside from my previous school was enhanced by the collegial environment. I feel privileged to teach at a school where the student is the primary consideration.

Meet Melvin Gates
My name is Melvin Wendell Gates. I am the youngest of eight siblings. I will celebrate a milestone birthday August 11. I live in Taylors SC. I hold a Masters +30. I have been in education for 30 years. I work as the Upward Bound math/science instructor at Greenville Technical College. I serve as the academic director for Palmetto State University.
Meet Tashia Raynor
I am a veteran teacher of 9+ years. I gratefully look forward to working with students to help them realize and reach their highest potentials. I am a graduate of science education from both Southern Wesleyan (Bachelors) and Clemson University (Masters) and a graduate of education from USC Upstate (2nd Masters). I am a wife, mom of two, grandmother of five and a pet parent of one.
Meet Jennifer Del Sol
After spending several years working in various science-related fields, including in the operating room and as a doula, I found my true passion in education. My experiences in these roles deepened my love for science and my desire to share that knowledge. These unique experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a real-world perspective, which I now bring into the classroom as a science teacher. My goal is to inspire students to explore and appreciate the wonders of science, just as I have throughout my career. When I’m not teaching, you can find me reading, gardening, or hanging out with my 2 kids, dog, and husband.

Meet Lauren Park
Hi! My name is Lauren Park and I'm a social studies teacher at Westside High School. I'm from Aiken, South Carolina and moved to Anderson to study at Anderson University where I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education in 2022. I live in Greenville with my partner Aaron, our dog Cocoa, and our 3 cats - Mochi, JoJo, and Ham. I enjoy hanging out at home with them watching movies and TV shows to chill out, but I also love to travel and go out and enjoy being in nature. This year will be my third year teaching at Westside. The past two years, I taught Government and Economics, but this year I'll be teaching Modern World History CP & Honors in the Academy. One of my favorite parts of being a teacher is building relationships with my students and helping them grow not just academically, but as individuals. I'm looking forward to a great year together with all of my students!
Meet Tabitha Shorter
Hi, I am Ms. Shorter I am a 1988 graduate of TL Hanna HIgh school and played Varsity Basketball. After High school I joined the Navy then left the military service in 1993 and entered college in 1997. My first teaching experience was at Forrest Junior College teaching Adult students. Later in 2006 landed my first teaching postion at West Oak Middle School teaching Keyboarding and I have loved teaching every since. I am an avid lover of History and love musuems. I have two adult children Abrielle 35 and Jalen 31, I have two beautiful grandchildren Autumn 6 and Jeremiah 5 and I love my family.
Meet David Weathers
My name is David Weathers and I teach Modern World History in the Freshman Academy at Westside High School. I have a beautiful wife of 7 years, Lesley, and we have two wonderful children. They are Sloan, who is six years old, and Kensington, who is four years old. We also have two dogs, an eight month old Yellow Lab named Beau and a Jack Russell named Chloe. We live in Greer, SC.
Art
Meet Chris Carder
Mr. Carder is your go-to guru for all things art in the 9th grade Academy. With a degree in drawing/painting/printmaking from Portland State University, he combines traditional techniques with a dash of modern flair to keep creativity buzzing in the classroom. When he's not helping students turn their doodles into masterpieces, you might find him debating the merits of abstract art with a coffee cup. Mr. Carder believes every student can unleash their inner artist—no special skills required, just a lot of imagination and a can-do attitude!

Meet Danielle Walkup
My name is Danielle Walkup and I am originally from Myrtle Beach, SC. I attended Newberry College and graduated with a degree in Sport Management and Business Administration. While attending Newberry I played basketball and ran cross country. This will be my 12th year in education. I've spent most of my career in Oconee County. This year will be my second year at Westside. I will be teaching Skills for Success and Personal Finance. I am very excited for this school year.
When I am not teaching you can find me in the gym working out or on the side of the road running. I enjoy golfing when I can find the time. I am a huge sports fan, and I enjoy cooking and traveling.

I am Chris Saddlemire. I am married with one son. Prior to teaching I served in a Patrol and Reconnaissance Squadron in the Navy, and was a firefighter in Charleston.
I received my M.A.T from The Citadel, and have taught P.E. at A5 prior to moving into my new role as a Personal Finance teacher.

Meet Priscilla Rothery
Mrs. Rothery is a tenured teacher who has taught in the elementary, middle, and high school settings. She feels one of the greatest blessings is to be a teacher. She also thinks that everyone has a gift; however, not everyone opens their gift at the same time. Her role model is JESUS because he differentiated learning so everyone could comprehend.
Meet Tania Lubin-Jeanpaul
Hello, my name is Tania Lubin-Jeanpaul. I am a math inclusion teacher at the Freshman Academy. I started working at Westside in January 2023. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to South Carolina in December 2022. I am married to my amazing, hardworking husband of 6 years, and we have 2 lovely boys, Emmanuel Jr. (4 y.o) and Gabriel (1 y.o). I enjoy performing arts (music, singing, dancing & creative writing). During my free time, I like to cook, organize, go for walks, and spend quality time with my family. I look forward to a year of new, refreshing, exciting, and unforgettable accomplishments!
