Hi there! My name is Ally. I have two lovely kiddos, Addy and Emmy, and one fabulous husband, Logan. Addy will be entering third grade in the 2023-24 school year, Emmy will be entering kindergarten, and Logan graduated (from college) in 2013. I graduated from EKU in a time long ago with a B.S. in psychology that I do not employ in the slightest. I run a home baking business instead. I do not recommend this path for paying off student loan debt. In my spare time, I love to read, bake, write, embroider, watch the Great British Baking Show on repeat, and play baseball (somewhat poorly).
I was elected Secretary of the PTO after my very first meeting in 2021 and happily served in this role until I was elected President in November of last year. I am a capable writer and a resourceful person, but admittedly, due to anxiety, I am not much of a public speaker. Nevertheless, I am legitimately honored to have been elected and have lots of ideas for the 2023-24 school year!
Duties of the President include (but will be further detailed in our Standing Rules):
With input from the Executive Board, organize and prepare the agendas.
Preside over general and special meetings.
Serve as the primary contact for the principal.
Represent the organization at any meetings concerning the PTO.
Organize and oversee any special teams to support the PTO and school so that the purpose of the organization is served.
Review bank statements.
Develop and maintain the PTO’s Official Record Book.
