Hallo! I am the German teacher at La Salle! With my Opa being Austrian, I was exposed to the German language at a young age. I formally began studying the language in high school and continued through the university, finishing with a German degree. I’ve spent a few summers in Austria as a nanny and lived a year studying in the beautiful city of Vienna. I am so excited to have the opportunity to take my students to Germany, where they will be exposed to a new culture and be able to authentically practice the German language. I believe that experiencing different parts of the world really helps people grow, not only as individuals, but also as proactive global citizens and I can’t wait to share this experience with my students.

I am a religion teacher at La Salle for the past five years and have been an avid traveler since 2010 when I moved to South Korea for two years. I went to Germany four years ago with La Salle when we visited Leverkusen. Although my German skills are not great, my familiarity with international travel will hopefully come in handy again. I studied Korean and Spanish in high school and university and will be returning to German Duolingo before we leave at the end of the school year. I look forward to traveling with all of you and getting to know you better.
