Research has pointed out that India has been an economic powerhouse for close to two millenia, up until the period of invasions and colonization. This would have certainly been impossible without a value-positive and cohesive society that was empowered by rich knowledge traditions.
Efforts to decolonise education are happening globally and more and more people are looking seriosuly at knowledge systems that is aligned with the cultural ethos. India has had a rich scientific heritage and the Rishis of the past made tremendous scientific contributions in Language, health sciences, math and astronmy, architecture, metallurgy and many such domains. Due to the structure and scope of modern education, young Indians do not get the opportunity to explore the vastness and richness of the scientific heritage of India which has tremendous relevance even today.
