NL-UK Youth Cricket Tour 2024 (U18/U15/U12)

Een tour naar Engeland is magisch, daar heb je het volgend jaar nog over, en het jaar daarna trouwens ook! Proef de typisch Engelse cricketsfeer met zijn idyllische clubhuizen, het mooie landschap en het spelen op echte graswickets tegen bevlogen Engelse teams. En dát gecombineerd met het plezier van een kamp met je leeftijdsgenoten.
Vooruitblik
Zondag 21 juli reist iedereen naar onze locatie in Oxfordshire. Op maandag, dinsdag, woensdag en donderdag spelen we wedstrijden tegen verschillende Engelse clubs. Maar naast de wedstrijden zijn er ook andere activiteiten zoals zwemmen, een bezoek aan een echte batfabriek, leuke trainingen en spellen. Daarnaast is er voldoende tijd om lekker rond te hangen. Vrijdag 26 juli reist iedereen met zijn hoofd vol met prachtige memories weer terug of verder naar zijn volgende bestemming.
Deelnemers
Ben jij een cricketer bij een van de Nederlandse clubs? En speel je mee in de jeugdcompetitie met harde bal? Dan mag jij mee op deze tour! Er zullen drie teams worden gemaakt: een U12, een U15 en een U18. De ervaring leert dat de kinderen van de verschillende clubs vrijwel direct allemaal grote lol met elkaar hebben. Nou ja direct, het kost ongeveer vijf minuten! Let wel, van elke club moet tenminste 1 begeleider meegaan.
Begeleiding
De Amsterdam Cricket Tour is een particulier initiatief waarbij vrijwilligers een leuke mooie accommodatie en leuke wedstrijden hebben geregeld en de rest van de organisatie in goede banen leiden. Om mee te gaan is de bijdrage van de eigen club essentieel.
Van elke club moet minimaal 1 begeleider mee. Wel zo prettig voor de kinderen! De begeleider zorgt ook voor het vervoer naar Engeland en daar ter plaatse. Zij zijn verantwoordelijk voor de kinderen van hun club. Daarnaast worden er wat kleine taakjes verdeeld. Omdat iedereen helpt, stellen de taakjes niet zo veel voor.
Naast de eigen begeleiders gaan er coaches mee om te helpen bij de wedstrijden en trainingen.
Accommodatie
Wij hebben mooie accomodaties op het oog maar de definitieve keuze is afhankelijk van het aantal aanmeldingen. Indien er naast de begeleiders meer ouders meereizen, horen wij graag of zij ook op de accommodatie willen overnachten.
Paspoort, visum, verzekeringen en vervoer
Om Engeland binnen te komen heb je een geldig paspoort nodig. Een identiteitskaart volstaat dus niet! Sommigen zullen daarnaast een visum nodig hebben. Regel dat tijdig om teleurstellingen te voorkomen. Ouders moeten zelf zorgen dat kinderen voldoende verzekerd zijn. Denk aan wettelijke aansprakelijkheid-, ziektekosten- en reisverzekeringen.
Reizen naar Oxfordshire kan via de Eurotunnel, de boot of per vliegtuig. Ouders van de eigen club kunnen onderling afstemmen wat zij het prettigst vinden. Verder regelen we een Tourbusje, waarin een beperkt aantal crickettassen die in de auto passen kunnen worden meegenomen.
Kosten en sponsoring
De kosten van de Tour zullen ongeveer 395,00 euro bedragen. Dat is voor de accommodatie, de coaches, het eten en overige activiteiten daar ter plekke. Niet inbegrepen zijn de reiskosten. Door prijsschommelingen kan het bedrag iets hoger of iets lager uitvallen. Na aanmelding ontvang je een verzoek tot aanbetaling van 50 euro.
Tip! Oudere leden hebben vaak zelf fantastische herinneringen aan de Tours naar Engeland en zijn daarom vaak ook bereid om te sponsoren. Wil je de tourkosten voor de kinderen van jouw eigen club verlagen, ga dan op zoek naar sponsoren binnen je club of bij opa’s en oma’s, etc. Zij kunnen bijvoorbeeld een ontbijtje, een wedstrijdbal of zelfs het officiële Tour shirt sponsoren.

A tour to England is magical, you will still be talking about it next year, and the year after for that matter! Experience the typical English cricket atmosphere with its idyllic clubhouses, beautiful countryside and playing on real grass wickets against enthusiastic English teams. And that combined with the fun of a camp with your peers.
Preview
On Sunday, July 21, everyone travels to our Oxfordshire location. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will play matches against various English clubs. But besides the matches there will be other activities such as swimming, a visit to a real bat factory, fun training sessions and games. In addition, there is plenty of time to hang out. Friday, July 26, everyone travels back or on to their next destination with their heads full of wonderful memories.
Participants
Are you a cricketer at one of the Dutch clubs? And do you play in the youth competition with hard ball? Then you may join this tour! Three teams will be made: a U12, a U15 and a U18. Experience shows that almost immediately the kids from the different clubs all have great fun together. Well immediately, it takes about five minutes! Please note that at least 1 supervisor from each club must accompany you.
Guidance
The Amsterdam Cricket Tour is a private initiative in which volunteers have arranged a nice accommodation and fun matches and take care of the rest of the organization. To participate, the contribution of your own club is essential.
From each club at least 1 supervisor is required. Very convenient for the children! The supervisor also takes care of the transportation to England and over there. They are responsible for the children of their club. In addition, some small tasks are distributed. Because everyone helps, the tasks are not that big.
In addition to their own supervisors, coaches will go along to help with the games and training.
Accommodation
We have beautiful accommodations in mind but the final choice depends on the number of registrations. If there are more parents traveling with us besides the facilitators, please let us know if they would also like to stay at the accommodation.
Passport, visa, insurance and transportation
To enter England, you need a valid passport. So an identity card will not suffice! Some will additionally need a visa. Arrange this early to avoid disappointment. Parents must ensure that children are adequately insured. Consider public liability, health and travel insurance.
Travel to Oxfordshire can be by Eurotunnel, boat or plane. Parents from their own club can coordinate among themselves what they find most convenient. Furthermore, we are arranging for a Tour van, which can carry a limited number of cricket bags that can fit in the car.
Costs and sponsorship
The cost of the Tour will be approximately 395.00 euros. This covers accommodation, coaches, food and other activities there. Not included are travel expenses. Due to price fluctuations, the amount may be slightly higher or slightly lower.
Tip: Older members often have fantastic memories of the Tours to England themselves and are therefore often willing to sponsor. If you want to reduce tour costs for the children of your own club, look for sponsors within your club or from grandparents, etc. They can sponsor for example a breakfast, a match ball or even the official Tour shirt.
