Last November, students took part—with over 300,000 writers around the world—in starting the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It's a fun, innovative creative writing event where students worked to meet the challenge of drafting an entire novel in around 30 days.
The goal for our NaNoWriMo was 5,000 words—many students met and exceeded that goal, but the amazing thing students learned was dedicating time to writing, facing challenges, and focusing on the quality (not quantity) of their writing. Students demonstrated improved self-confidence, as well as increased writing and time-management skills. Plus, in the end, students now have a collection of impressive novels to share.
Enjoy this awesome anthology of dramas, comedies, and suspense-filled stories! Our students did an amazing job!
Our novels are organized by seventh-grade English classes. Click on each title and a read-only document will appear.
