Why on line activation

We made the whole process simpler so that new customers can get on board instantly, as soon as they have purchased the product. It also resolves any issue of licences that get revoked by security unintentionally, as reinstalling on the same computer does not require reactivation.

The future of licensing

• 1. Find the application and drag it to the bin. Alternatively, you can right-click on the icon and select Move to the bin.

  2. Go to Users > Shared and locate a folder named Amp FreQQ. Then delete it.

  3. Go to Users > Shared and locate a folder named Ticket. Then delete it. (if visible)

Caution: deleting the shortcut for the app (Windows) or moving the icon out of the dock (Mac) is NOT the same as uninstalling. Please make sure you uninstall it properly and don't forget to delete the aforementioned folders.

Note: This is a complete program and not an update or a patch file.

1. After you make your purchase, you will get three emails from us (the order confirmation, the download link and your new serial number).

2. Windows users - Close all other applications or do a fresh reboot. You must turn off all antivirus, Defender options, firewalls, App control & Ransomware folder control during download, installation and activation. You can create exclusions to both the FreQQs short cut and the application folder in C:\Program files\SlawterstudiosLTD\AmpFreQQ (After installation and activation), Note, do not run app right away, first check a new folder called AmpFreQQ has been created in c:/Users/Public/. If not, recheck all security above and reinstall over the original installation. Only launch The FreQQ shortcut when this folder has been created by the installation process. * Also see Safest installation method for Windows below.

3. Mac Users - Once the download is e, move the file outside the Downloads folder to documents folder or desktop

4. Double click the file to extract the installer. Make sure the destination path is not the Downloads folder.(Mac) In any case, if the installer ends up there after the extraction, move it to the desktop or the Documents folder before opening it.

5. Run the installer.

6. Enter this install password: dubstation (make sure you don't copy-paste any extra spaces).

7. Wait until the installation process has fully completed. Note: (Windows) after installation, you will be presented with a window to install Microsoft C++ Visual Redistributable.

8. Then run the app from the shortcut on the desktop (Windows) or from Applications folder (Mac) and you will be presented with an activation dialogue. Please complete the all the details

On some Windows computers, the application icon disappears sometimes. It doesn't affect the application at all, but instead of the official Amp FreQQ icon, you will see a generic icon. At the moment, the only way to avoid this issue is to create a new Windows user account WITH ADMIN rights and install Amp FreQQ in the new account. The easiest way is to select other user (Not family) . Click non Microsoft account, you don't have the users details, type in a name, next, then click the account just created and select administrator role. Then you can either restart and select this account, or select the account from the start menu and switch to it. You still need to follow the steps to turn off security as stated above. This workaround has the added benefit of making the application launch faster and overall is the cleanest way to install The FreQQ V3 . You will still have access to all your files in your other user account. Just create shortcuts to your most used folders on the new desktop.

Online activation

1. Make sure you are connected to the internet.

2. Open Amp FreQQ (a.k.a. The FreQQ v3). The activation window will appear on the screen.

3. Fill up the information required. Please use the same email address that you used to claim your offer. And the serial number provided by email

4. Activate.

5. Enjoy the FreQQ.
   

Manual activation

If you are experiencing problems with your internet connection, you can choose to do a manual activation, but it is not automatic and might require up to 48 hours to be completed.

With the installation, a set of folders is created.

Windows: C:\Users\User_Name\Documents\FreQQ

Mac: Macintosh HD\Users\User_Name\Documents\FreQQ

(User_Name = The name of the user account where Amp FreQQ v3 is installed on your computer)

Inside that folder you will find the following sub-folders:

• MidiMaps: contains the default v3 mapping for the Akai Midimix.

• Sample Sets: contains 4 sample set files. Use the load button underneath the sample player (panel area) to quickly load any of the 4 sample packs included.

• Songs: contains 3 song files so you can test your set up even if you have no music locally available.

• Spectrum Skins: Several alternative skins for the spectrum visualizer. To use them, just select any of them, drag and drop inside the visualizer area (the big rectangle at the top of the window). A Photoshop PSD template is included so you can make you own custom image (you will need to export the image as a png file). Plus a blank PNG file that you can use as a template.

• VU Skins: contains 2 alternative skins for the VU meter (same drag-and-drop method).

To load the new siren presets, when you open Amp FreQQ v3 for the first time, press SHIFT+1 on your keyboard. That's the SHIFT KEY and the 1 KEY at the same time. Only need to be done once

• In safe (Normal) mode, the crossover bands are now locked. You can only reduce the frequencies being passed through on mids and bass. Tops and sub-bass are fixed in place. The 4 kill fader positions are now 0dB at the maximum position

• We do not recommend mapping the kills frequencies to a midi controller, we do not advise adjusting these, during a live mix or a performance.

• Music inputs now have a maximum gain of 0dB, except for the mic/aux channel which has +6dB available. So in other words, the music inputs should always be set to maximum gain.

• The 3-way display selector order has been changed.

• The repeat buttons at the end of play bars have been removed.

• The direct switch on both FX processors is now a bypass filter (BP FILTER).

• Some keyboard shortcuts have been replaced. A cheat sheet is accessible from the setup window (KEYBOARD LAYOUT).

• The 45 Hz button has been removed from the EQ selector.

• All 12 presets now available on the sample player and dub siren.

• Track B keyboard shortcut for load & play fixed.

• Recording gain now set correctly.

• Dropping in music files no longer play instantly (When playlist is loaded).
